The Man Behind The Camera.

Greetings, salutations and yerrrrrrrrrr!!! My name is Justin Reid, born in the great city/borough of Brooklyn. My interest in the artform of photography began during my younger years but it was always for the intention of capturing and preserving the memories of my youth. Thanks to Chemistry (and the thought of Physics) classes throwing hands at my GPA, I switch majors from Computer Engineering to Studio Arts and returned to my interest of photography and then it became a passion and that I wanted to do something more with the medium.

I received my BA in Studio Arts from the City College of New York where I concentrated in the area of Photography in 2010. In the spring of 2010, I had the opportunity and privilege to intern at the Richard Avedon Foundation, one of the world’s most renowned fashion photographers of the mid and late 20th century.

Since graduating my work has been exhibited locally in group shows. Twice at the City College of New York (Annual Photography Show, 2009 & 2010), once at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural & Educational Center (Group Show, 2010) and most recently at a RAW Artists event at The Wick in Brooklyn (May 2015). Yeah...I know. A huge gap between shows.

This is part in which I shall get up from my chair and invite you to check out my blog on the website if you want to get to know more about me. Definitely check out the virtual galleries that are my portraits, dance portraits, and wedding photos while you are browsing.
